Ingredients:
- 1
- 5 lbs skirt steak
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions:
Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl
Do this to make the marinade
In a plastic bag that can be closed again, put the skirt steak and pour half of the marinade over it
Put the bag in the fridge for at least two hours, or overnight for better taste
Warm up the grill over medium-high heat
Let the extra marinade drip off the steak, then grill it for 4 to 6 minutes on each side, or until its done the way you like it
Before cutting it, let it rest for a few minutes
Put vegetable oil in a pan and heat it over medium heat while the steak is cooking
When you add the cooked jasmine rice, stir it around a few times to keep it from sticking
Put the grilled skirt steak slices on top of the crispy rice
Drizzle the rest of the marinade over the top, and top with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds
