Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese optional
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced onions
- Ketchup and mustard
- Pickles optional
Instructions:
Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Season each patty with salt and pepper
Place the patties on the hot grill or pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare burgers, or longer if you prefer them well-done
If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned
Assemble your burgers by placing lettuce, tomato slices, and onion slices on the bottom bun
Add the cooked patty with or without cheese on top
Add ketchup and mustard, and top with pickles if desired
Place the top bun on the ingredients to complete your burger
Serve hot and enjoy
